Essex County Council (ECC) are delighted to be supporting Braintree Council to recruit an ICT Business Support & Development Officer on a full-time basis.

We have an exciting opportunity for an ICT Business Support & Development Officer to join our ICT Team, providing administration and business support across the service. Alongside this, the role will also support the provision and delivery of ICT training to employees of the Council, enabling the effective use of technology.

This role will provide vital support to the service with administration processes, updating procedures and business planning, supporting the management team to successfully deliver projects on time and to budget.

The other part of the role is to support the Council’s digital transformation but working in conjunction with the Learning & Development Team to ensure ICT training is identified, mapped and delivered to drive up the adoption of all Microsoft 365 features. This will include supporting the development of the Learning Management System.

To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent business support skills and ability to use and develop others in the use of a wide range of technology, including Microsoft products with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. The ability to impart knowledge to others is key, alongside being able to motivate and engage learners. Understanding different learning styles will help you with this.

Proven experience of working in a local government IT environment, Learning Management Systems, as well as delivering and coordinating training is required.
