ICT Architect (Expert) – Salesforce Marketing Cloud

Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid)
Contract Duration: 15 June 2026 – 15 July 2027
Workload: 40% (Approx. 2 days per week)
Remote Work: Hybrid working available

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced ICT Architect with deep expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to design, build, and scale enterprise-level marketing and CRM solutions.

This role combines hands-on technical implementation with architectural leadership. You will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to deliver scalable, data-driven marketing solutions that support both operational and strategic objectives.

From building email journeys and CloudPages to integrating complex data streams and defining automation logic, you will play a critical role in shaping the organization's digital communication platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and scale technical solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Build and maintain:
  • Email Journeys
  • CloudPages
  • Queries
  • Automation Flows
• Design and implement integrations between multiple data sources.
• Define business rules and automation logic behind marketing workflows.
• Test, deploy, monitor, and optimize marketing solutions.
• Collaborate with business and marketing teams to translate requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Provide architectural guidance and best practices for CRM and email marketing platforms.
• Coach and upskill internal teams on Salesforce Marketing Cloud capabilities and technical implementation.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• Minimum 15 years of experience with Salesforce technologies.
• At least 10 years of experience as a Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Specialist or Enterprise Architect.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise architecture modeling frameworks, including:
  • ArchiMate
  • TOGAF
  • UML
  • Sparx Enterprise Architect
• Salesforce Certified AI Associate certification.
• Fluent Dutch language skills ( CEFR C2 level).

Preferred Skills

• Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification.
• Broad understanding of enterprise architecture domains, including application, infrastructure, security, data, and process architecture.
• Experience with business process analysis and optimization.
• Solid understanding of project management disciplines, including planning, estimation, budgeting, coordination, and delivery.
• Experience training, mentoring, and leading technical teams.

What You'll Bring

You have extensive experience with CRM and email marketing platforms and understand how to connect multiple business systems into a cohesive marketing ecosystem. You are equally comfortable discussing technical architecture with IT teams and explaining complex solutions in business-friendly language.

You possess strong analytical skills, can quickly identify business needs, and translate them into scalable, sustainable technical solutions that deliver measurable value.
