About this opportunity:
BNEW RCE Lab Operations provides infrastructure services for R&D IT and test environments. As an ICT Architect in the Systems Security and Business Strategy unit, you ensure we have the right input to make informed technical decisions, drive innovation, and stay aligned with partner organizations using and managing R&D IT and test environments.
Our unit is responsible for making sure BNEW RCE Lab Ops services comply with mandatory security and architecture requirements, while also driving technology changes so Ericsson’s R&D community has a best-in-class test and development environment.
In this enterprise architect role, you will own and drive technical inquiries and collaborate with stakeholders to improve the user environment. You will lead both high-level and detailed architectural studies within Lab Operations and across R&D IT, with a strong holistic mindset and global architectural responsibility for the services we provide.
What you will do:
- Develop a deep understanding of the current architecture, our services, and how they fit into the R&D IT landscape.
- Act as a technical leader, driving DevSecOps practices and initiating MLOps capabilities.
- Design, develop, and manage high-performance GPU clusters optimized for AI workloads.
- Contribute to physical lab infrastructure and hardware asset management, including networking, storage, management infrastructure, and security services.
- Use your broad IT knowledge and specialized expertise to solve complex problems and improve our service offering.
- Collaborate with the manager, team lead, peer architects, and security analysts within the unit.
- Work with the Architecture function in the RCE Lab Ops DevSecOps program to align solutions with architectural and security requirements.
- Engage with peer architects from other R&D IT organizations in BNEW and BCSS to ensure architectural coherence and share best practices.
- Partner with Service Domain Managers to shape and evolve services in the BNEW RCE Lab Ops portfolio.
- Participate in Solution and Service Architect communities within BNEW RCE Lab Ops to contribute to common standards and guidelines.
The skills you bring:
- Architectural experience within the IT area, including Enterprise Architecture
- Broad understanding of relevant technologies, i.e., storage solutions, IT security, IP networking, monitoring and their use in large enterprise environments
- Expertise in one area is beneficial
- Hands-on experience with today's IT systems, giving your technological expertise a foundation in today's reality
- A desire for technological excellence, knowledge and understanding, including (but not necessarily limited to):
- The AI/Machine learning lifecycle and operationalization
- Automation in IT
- Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS)
- Datacenter and WAN networking
- Storage, both today's and software-defined storage systems
- Monitoring systems
- Enabling services such as time services, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- A collaborative spirit since our team only succeeds when working with others to reach our goals
- A wide contact network within Ericsson or a demonstrable ability to build such a network
- Good organizational skills for handling a constantly evolving work environment
- Skills to independently drive studies across virtual teams within or across R&D IT organizations
- Knowledge in Information and IT Security processes (ISMS/ISO27k) and technology are a benefit
