Determines customer requirements and processes orders for Ipsen Customer Service (ICS) aftermarket parts in order to satisfy customer requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner for aftermarket spare parts, researching historical data and utilizing blueprints to determine exact replacement parts.
  • Informs customer of unit pricing, ship date, anticipated delays and any additional information needed by customer.
  • Utilize CRM system to create new sales opportunities and manage existing cases.
  • Reviews customer purchase orders to confirm acceptance.
  • Generates parts quotes and orders in Syteline ERP system.
  • Ascertains credit status of customer, works with Accounts Receivable to resolve credit issues or down payment requirements, and international compliancy.
  • Receives and reviews customer order discrepancies.
  • Confers with Quality Department to process replacement orders.
  • Partners with other departments, including those in Germany and Pennsylvania to expedite or track orders.
  • Follows up with customers on open opportunities in CRM and works to generate a customer order.
  • Occasional travel to customer sites for consultation and trade shows.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Possess a high attention to detail, good organization skills and influencing skills.
  • Possess strong computer skills, with ability to proficiently learn company’s ERP system.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize workload with competing priorities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and new technology.
  • Ability to communicate in a direct, professional manner.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, blueprints and general technical data.
  • Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from internal staff, customers and the general public.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, quantities, percentages.
  • Possess the ability to learn technical knowledge about Ipsen parts and equipment.
  • Possess strong sales dynamics with ability to cross sell parts.
  • Ability to travel as required to customers sites, less than 10% travel requirement.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required.
  • Associates Degree, Certificate Program or advanced training preferred.
  • Minimum 1 (one) year related experience in sales or spare parts sales, preferably in manufacturing.
