UPS Korea / Buildings and Systems Engineering, Specialist

This position supports the protection of UPS facilities and equipment. With the individual’s technical knowledge and analytical skills, he/she assists with providing safe and reliable material handling equipment and facilities, and ensuring environmental compliance. The Buildings and Systems Engineering (BaSE) Specialist will be performing the following tasks:

• Maintenance of conveyor equipment and buildings
  • Daily operation technical support provisions on conveyor system - maintenance schedule, PMI, facility safety, compliance, purchase, contract, RFA, PO and system troubleshooting.
  • Investigating root causes for conveyor performance issues using system analysis tools. Troubleshooting, calibrating, analyzing, and adjusting Conveyor Systems as necessary to maintain optimal performance.
  • Communicating with the Buildings and Systems Engineering Supervisor and Operations Management to reduce system defects and equipment downtime. Responding to calls and breakdowns related to conveyor system components and expediting their completion
  • Reviewing daily equipment condition reports. Dispatching of field-support vendors/mechanics to conduct regular PMI and to rectify facilities and equipment issues.
  • Supervise mechanic/contractor during the implementation process to ensure quality and effectiveness of job.
  • Parts ordering and inventory maintenance
• Assist the Supervisor with project management tasks related to the installation of conveyor equipment and facility modifications, supervise contractors, holding them accountable to fulfilling the scope of the contract
  • Manage budget to ensure project scope is completed without exceeding approved funds
  • Prepare estimates and drawings for facility and equipment layouts
  • Prepare justifications for appropriations of funds for projects
  • Prepare bid documents and contracts for construction, procurement, and installation
  • Fairly bid and award contracts for projects
• Assist the Supervisor with Facility Safety and Environmental Programs compliance
  • Implement programs by assessing needs and creating documents
  • Train local staff in compliance requirements
  • Audit Facility Safety and Environmental programs for compliance
  • Implement corrective actions for identified deficiencies
• Assist the Supervisor with Facility Housekeeping Tasks.
  • Directly or support others in oversight of housekeeping contractors
  • Create detailed bid packages for housekeeping contracts
  • Fairly and openly bid and award contracts for housekeeping
    

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering/Civil Engineering/Construction Management or similar relevant discipline - Required
• Excellent communication skills. Proficient in both spoken and written English and Korean. - Required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, etc. - Required
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD - Required
• 1 year experience minimum, 3 years preferred in conveyor system installations OR maintenance management.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, warehouse setting - Required
• Results and detail oriented - Required
• Sense of urgency - Required
• Flexibility to accommodate changing shift time - Required
• Capable of lifting up to 32kg unassisted - Required
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and elementary diagrams is an asset
• Knowledge of PLC’s and electrical controls is an asset
• Experience with IBM Maximo, Coupa, and Oracle software is an asset
• Articulating-boom lift, scissor lift, and forklift experience is an asset

주요 업무

물류 자동화 설비(컨베이어) 및 건물 유지보수

설비 운영 관련 기술 지원: 정기 점검(PMI), 안전 관리, 예산 및 구매 관리, 장애 대응 등

컨베이어 성능 저하 원인 분석 및 문제 해결 (시스템 분석 도구 활용)

설비 이상 발생 시 신속한 대응 및 관련 부서(엔지니어링, 운영팀 등)와의 협업

일일 장비 상태 보고서 검토 및 외부 기술업체 관리

외주 정비기사/협력업체의 작업 품질 관리 및 감독

부품 발주 및 재고 관리

설비 설치 및 시설 변경 관련 프로젝트 관리 지원

프로젝트 예산 관리, 계약업체 관리, 공사 품질 점검

도면 검토 및 설비 레이아웃 설계 지원

프로젝트 관련 예산 산출 및 입찰 문서 작성

시설 안전 및 환경 프로그램 운영 지원

규정 준수 점검 및 개선 사항 관리

내부 직원 대상 안전/환경 교육 실시

청소 및 시설 위생 관리 지원

청소업체 관리 및 계약 입찰 진행

자격요건

기계공학, 전기공학, 토목공학, 건설관리 등 관련 전공 학사 학위 보유자 – 필수

영어 및 한국어 커뮤니케이션 능력 우수자 – 필수

Microsoft Office(Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint 등) 활용 능숙자 – 필수

AutoCAD 기본 활용 가능자 – 필수

물류 설비(특히 컨베이어 시스템) 설치 또는 유지보수 관련 1년 이상 경력 보유자 (3년 이상 우대)

빠르게 변화하는 물류 환경(창고 현장 등)에서의 근무 적응력 – 필수

꼼꼼하고 결과 지향적인 업무 태도, 긴급 상황 대처 능력 보유자 – 필수

교대 근무(변경 가능 스케줄)에 유연하게 대응 가능한 분 – 필수

32kg 이하의 장비를 단독으로 운반 가능한 체력 보유자 – 필수

전기 도면 및 회로도 해석 가능자 우대

PLC 및 전기제어 시스템 관련 지식 보유자 우대

IBM Maximo, Coupa, Oracle 등의 시스템 사용 경험자 우대
