Maintains and repairs electrical equipment and instrumentation. Serves as the site's Distributed Control System (DCS) and controls specialist, configuring, programming, and maintaining plant DCS and PLC platforms, including Emerson Ovation and Allen Bradley ControlLogix, that govern gas turbine, steam turbine, and balance-of-plant operations. Monitors, maintains, and repairs gas turbine and steam turbine control systems, generator excitation systems (e.g., GE EX2100), transformers, and switchgear. Maintain, calibrate and repair plant electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Perform routine trouble shooting activities at the I/O, logic, and network level to minimize unplanned downtime. Use Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to effectively accomplish required maintenance in and efficient and organized manner. Optimize plant preventative maintenance program to meet OEM recommendations, regulatory requirements, and corporate maintenance philosophy. Responsible for maintaining logs, manuals, records, blueprints, control system documentation, and operating procedures in a neat and professional manner. Provide written reports on control system conditions, root cause analysis, and corrective actions when required. Incorporates safe behavior into all activities and consistently complies with all established safety and health policies and procedures, helps to identify and eliminate or actively manage risks in all work activities.
