Job

Summary
The Ice Skate Guard will provide safety to all skaters during public skate.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Essential Job Duties
Include, but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•    Maintain constant flow and direction of skaters on the ice.
•    Enforce all safety rules.
•    Provide basic first aid if needed.
•    Complete and submit accident/incident reports to Recreation Supervisor in a timely manner.
•    Help patrons needing assistance on ice.
•    Attend all staff meetings and mandatory trainings.
•    Assist staff during special events.
•    Assist front desk staff with skate rentals before and after public skate.
•    Follow all PDHP and CIA policies and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.

QualificationsEducation and/or

Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
American Red Cross CPR/AED
Basic First Aid
Wage Range: $15.00-$16.75 per hour
Classification: Part-time, non-exempt

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee must be able to skate safely and proficiently on the ice
Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job may be exposed to weather conditions with some slightly disagreeable features. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
