We are looking for an Ice Rink Attendant. The targeted compensation range for this full-time, seasonal, non-exempt position is $20.00 per/hr. The position offers a competitive compensation package presented by Auberge Resorts Collection.

Job Description

his role supports the daily operation of the ice skating rental shop at The Madeline Hotel and Residences, helping guests enjoy their visit with helpful service and properly maintained equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the skate rental shop, preparing it for daily operations.
• Welcome guests, assist with skate rentals, and keep the rental process organized during busy periods.
• Keep the shop clean, orderly, and ready for guests throughout the day.
• Inspect and maintain rental skates to keep them in good working condition; arrange for sharpening as needed.
• Monitor the ice rink while it is open, paying attention to guests as they skate and responding promptly to safety concerns or requests for assistance.
• Communicate with the town about ice and weather conditions, and adjust operating hours as needed.
• Operate the point-of-sale system accurately and report daily revenue to the supervisor.
• Support a positive guest experience through attentive service, clear communication, and a well-maintained shop.

Expected Hours

The ice rink opens on Thanksgiving Day. Operating days are longer early in the season, then decrease as the season progresses. The rink typically closes in March. Hours may also vary with weather and ice conditions.

Qualifications

Required

• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new systems.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to stay focused during busy periods.
• Fluency in English.
• Flexibility to work a changing schedule as rink hours shift during the season.

Preferred

• Previous customer service experience.
• Familiarity with rental or retail point-of-sale systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
