Key Responsibilities

• Ice Carvers utilize a combination of artistic vision and technical expertise to design and create unique ice sculptures, which are then tailored to align with the specific requirements and event themes of their clients. They use of specialized tools and techniques enables the carving of ice blocks into detailed and visually appealing sculptures.
• Collaborate with Executive Chefs, Event Planners, and team members to ensure designs meet expectations.
• Transport and install ice sculptures on-site while maintaining structural integrity.
• Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in proper working condition.
• Monitor ice storage and carving environment to preserve ice quality.
• Adhere to safety protocols when using carving tools and handling ice.
• Stay updated on current trends and techniques in ice carving to offer innovative designs.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• The position requires at least two years of related working experience as a kitchen artist, cook trainee, or ice carver. Cruise ship experience is strongly recommended.
• Proven experience in ice carving, sculpting, or related fields (culinary arts, woodworking, or stone carving is a plus).
• Strong artistic ability and a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency with ice carving tools, including chainsaws, chisels, and other specialized equipment.
• Ability to work in cold environments for extended periods.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy ice blocks.
• Fluent English language skills both verbal and written.
