Job Description

Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, documentations and presentations, as required.

NSF engages the Contractor to provide technical training services to NSF's clients or to offer its subject matter expertise for the development of training programmes for NSF. NSF will propose the dates and locations and identify, for each service, the associated NSF client. The Contractor shall accept or decline each Service in a timely manner so that NSF may reschedule the Service elsewhere. The Contractor hereby accepts such engagement and agrees to provide such Services in accordance with applicable guidelines and as required by NSF. The Contractor acknowledges and agrees that NSF may reassign any Service prior to the Contractor commencing the assigned provision.

  • Understand client’s needs and requirements in food safety and beyond and establishes clear communication between the client and NSF.
  • Provides leads and business opportunities for growth to both senior team members and sales
  • Contribute to assets, offerings and thought leadership development based on client requirements - build broader NSF Consulting solutions
  • Supports the customer account strategy through the delivery of a project or specific set of tasks related to a proposal that has been approved by the customer. This could include food, risk assessment, specifications management, coaching and training at client sites
  • Contributes to the delivery of consulting projects which could be delivered remotely or directly at client’s sites as per proposal scope.
  • Provides technical and administrative support services for client driven project activities.
  • Assists in gathering and interpreting data to issue reports and recommendations
  • Organizes and implements administrative systems and procedures performing necessary support duties which may include creation or update of internal procedures and process flow diagrams.
  • Draft, edit and prepare correspondence, reports and other material using word processing, spreadsheets and/or databases.
  • Prepares and maintains relevant work records, reviews documents, expense reports, timesheets, tracks document control etc. Delivers work according to project planning
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert and ambassador for NSF Food Consulting.
  • Coaches, mentors, trains and motivates project team internal and external resources and influences them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
  • University degree in Agronomy or related discipline, or equivalent combination of work experience and education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with the Global G.A.P. standard, focused on the field with different crops and agricultural varieties.
  • Experience directly with potatoes and banana harvest.
  • Bilingual, to review documents in Spanish and English as needed,
  • Having experience reviewing, interpreting or managing requirements of Global G.A.P. IFA + GRASP to help agricultures in the implementation of Standard.
  • Perform other duties as requested
  • Based in Ecuador.
  • Skilled at writing proposals and reports, project management and document control.
  • Skilled at working with and interacting with computer technology, specifically various industry/client programs and databases
  • Customer consultations and/or advisory experience.
  • Travel is required as part of this role and will vary from project to project.
  • Required to work in the field, on clients’ plantations.
