IBSL Supply Chain Distribution Lead

Purpose

This position involves coordinating shipping schedules, optimizing routes, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Works closely with carriers and internal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of products.

Lead end-to-end distribution operations for IBSL (Crop Protection & Seeds), ensuring reliable, cost-efficient, and agile product flow. Drive fit-for-future distribution capabilities by embedding digital, automation, and data-led decision making, in line with IBSL SCM transformation towards self-managed squads and AI-enabled execution

Key Tasks

End-to-End Distribution Operations

• Deliver uninterrupted market supply through robust distribution planning and execution
• Own short, mid, and long-term logistics and distribution outcomes, ensuring margin and cost improvements
• Ensure compliance, reliability, and operational excellence across distribution operations

Network & Capacity Management

• Optimize warehouse footprint, transport network, and routing
• Align network capacity with demand volatility
• Cost & Financial Performance Ownership
• Own OPEX and transportation cost for IBSL distribution
• Deliver cost-to-serve optimization and margin improvement
• Drive cost visibility and financial decision-making in operations

Partner & Vendor Management

• Manage transporters, warehouses, and service providers
• Ensure SLA adherence, compliance, and performance governance

Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and implement process improvements across distribution
• Drive standardization, simplification, and best practice adoption
• Reduce manual interventions and cycle times
• Drive digital initiatives in logistics (routing optimization, simulation, smart warehousing)
• Embed AI/automation-first execution and data-driven decision making

Leadership & Squad-Based Operating Model

• Lead self-managed distribution squads under DSO framework
• Build capability in data, digital, and operational excellence
• Act as VACC leader – vision, architecture, collaboration, coaching for Distribution Squad

Qualifications

• Degree in Ag, Business, Science or commerce
• Experience in distribution desirable
• Commercial background preferred
• Strategic thinking and ability to collaborate with stakeholders
• Drive for operational excellence with advanced understanding of Controls and Compliance Framework
• VACC leadership

• IBSL and PS Leadership team
• Planning, Tolling, Production team of CP& Seeds-
• Relevant internal functional teams-Manufacturing tollers
• External teams-Transporters, CFs, Warehouses owners, tollers
