IBMi AS/400 System Engineer (f/m/d) – Remote from Hungary
Our international client, a leading IT services provider in Europe, is looking for an experienced IBMi AS/400 System Engineer to support their growing infrastructure team. This is a fully remote role based in Hungary, offering the opportunity to work on innovative IT projects in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.
Responsibilities
✔️ Configuration, administration, monitoring, and maintenance of IBMi systems.
✔️ Automation of workflows to optimize system performance.
✔️ Documentation of system configurations and environments.
✔️ Design, implementation, and administration of new infrastructure components.
✔️ Rollouts and migrations, ensuring seamless system transitions.
Requirements
✔️ Proven experience in managing and configuring IBMi and AIX systems
✔️ Knowledge of storage landscapes (HP 3PAR, IBM V7000 is a plus).
✔️ Experience with Unix/Linux distributions and shell scripting
✔️ Analytical thinking and a structured, independent work approach
✔️ High customer orientation and strong service mindset
✔️ Fluent English (written and spoken), German is an advantage.
