About the Role

As a Senior Analyst you will support the origination, structuring, and execution of banking and advisory transactions, working in coordination with our specialist teams in Lisbon and Madrid, with the objective of helping our clients achieve their investment and expansion plans.

• Collaborate with senior teams in the origination of financing and advisory transactions by supporting the identification of business opportunities, considering the client’s financial profile and market and sector conditions.

• Support the structuring and execution of structured finance transactions and syndicated loans.

• Participate in the analysis of complex project finance and LBO financial models,including scenario building and sensitivity analysis to assess business and project feasibility.

• Contribute to the preparation of presentations, credit memorandums, term sheets,and other materials supporting internal approval processes, ensuring the necessary internal authorisations for BBVA’s participation in financing and/or advisory transactions.

• Participate in the day-to-day management of client deliverables, coordination between internal and external stakeholders, and review of financial and contractual documentation.

• Support the financial closing execution of transactions, including coordination with legal, technical, financial, and tax advisors.

• Participate in the daily interaction with clients, sponsors, financial institutions, and other transaction stakeholders, ensuring proper follow-up throughout the entire execution cycle.

• Coordinate with other CIB product areas to promote cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with support teams in transaction execution.

• Contribute to internal and external administrative tasks related to transactions.

• On the advisory side, collaborate with teams in Lisbon and Madrid in company and sector analysis, and support project execution.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Administration or Economics.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in similar roles.

• Advanced user of Excel and PowerPoint.

• Fluency in English (C1 level); Spanish will be considered a plus.
