Title
IBA Operations Manager
Description
Working within our IBA function in Brighton, we are looking for an experienced IBA Operations Manager to provide operational leadership across key IBA activities, ensuring robust controls, clear accountability, and high service standards.
You will work closely with the IBA Head of Service and wider business, and will play a key role in developing a high-performing, well-controlled and scalable IBA operation, driving improvements through people, process, technology, and effective performance management.
Key responsibilities of the role
- Responsibility and oversight of the Client Money Reconciliation team
- Maintain robust controls across client money, reconciliations, cash allocation, funding, and insurer settlements.
- Ensure compliance with relevant FCA CASS requirements, internal policies, and control frameworks.
- Identify root causes of operational issues and implement sustainable solutions.
- Improve and standardise processes, reducing manual activity and increasing efficiency.
- Work with Technology and business stakeholders to support automation, system enhancements, and operational change.
- Coordinate audit activities and ensure timely completion of follow-up actions
- Promote a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and high performance.
Candidate Profile
You should have the following experience:
- Broad IBA experience and understanding of the operational, regulatory and control environment.
- Established track record in operational leadership and people management.
- Good working knowledge of key IBA processes, including reconciliations, cash allocation, funding and insurer settlements.
- Effective oversight of KPIs, SLAs and operational performance.
- Demonstrable success in driving process improvement, operational change and continuous improvement.
- Ability to deliver scalable, efficient and commercially effective solutions.
