Job Title: Quality Control Sampler

Department: Warehouse

Business Unit: Inovobiologic Inc.

Reports to: Manager, Warehouse

Location: 100-8151 Churchill St

Bay Door 19, Delta, BC V4K 0C2

Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Pay Schedule: Hourly

Job Summary

The QC Sampler samples incoming materials in support of quality activities, while taking into consideration the company's commitment to our seven core values such as Sustainability (people, planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.

Job Responsibilities

  • Sample raw materials (RMs) and bulk products (bulks) received from suppliers and from in-house manufacturing
  • Compare RMs and bulks against sample array
  • Submit samples of RMs and bulks to internal lab and external labs for testing
  • Input data into system
  • Evaluate product packaging of the materials from suppliers
  • Conduct environmental monitoring of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) areas
  • Maintain and operate equipment in a safe and efficient manner
  • Cross-train in verifications of production and lab equipment
  • Utilize cloud solution to log, maintain, and to prioritize sampling queues Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
  • Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Technical

  • Completion of secondary school (Grade 12) with a graduation diploma
  • Minimum two years’ experience in a sampling role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience in QC sampling and/or sterile environments is preferred
  • Proficient in data entry and the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered

  • Sets positive example for other team members through adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
  • Highly motivated to improve process efficiency and accuracy
  • Physically able to lift up to 25 lbs.; occasionally may be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to ascend/descend to and from elevated areas
  • Able to perform all physical aspects of the job, including bending, frequent walking, reaching floor to above shoulder, twisting of wrist, gripping, and grasping
  • Regular, predictable attendance is an essential function of this job
  • Availability for overtime may occasionally be required
