Job Description

The IB Manager leads installed base (IB) ownership and lifecycle management for Hardware Devices platform team, ensuring quality, reliability, and sustainability across multiple products and manufacturing sites. This role serves as the focal point for platform‑level IB strategy, execution, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own platform‑level IB execution for common device foundations across products
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for platform‑related quality and field issues
  • Drive design improvements, VCP initiatives, and obsolescence management at the platform level
  • Partner with product teams to align IB priorities and release strategies
  • Work closely with supply chain and manufacturing to address lifecycle, quality, and availability risks
  • Establish IB metrics and feedback loops to inform platform evolution
  • Develop and mentor a high‑performing IB engineering team aligned with platform priorities

  • Product teams and lifecycle owners
  • Hardware Devices engineering teams
  • Quality, Regulatory, and Customer Support organizations
  • Supply Chain and Manufacturing

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in hardware engineering, quality, or IB roles
  • Strong experience in root cause analysis, CAPA, and lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with regulated product environments

Preferred Experience / Leadership Expectations

  • Experience managing IB for shared platforms or common hardware
  • Strong problem‑solving and cross‑functional leadership skills
  • Ability to balance short‑term issue resolution with long‑term platform sustainability
