As part of the Security Architecture & Advisory team, the IAM Security Architect is responsible for designing and securing Sandoz’s Identity and Access Management landscape. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of IAM systems while supporting enterprise-wide initiatives and compliance requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Lead architecture and design of IAM solutions (e.g., SailPoint Identity Now, MS Entra ID, CyberArk, PKI), ensuring scalability and security

  • Define and govern target IAM architecture aligned to enterprise standards

  • Ensure robust IAM integration across hybrid environments (cloud and on-prem systems)

  • Establish and enforce IAM security principles, standards, and guardrails

  • Conduct architecture and security assessments, identifying gaps and driving remediation strategies

  • Provide architectural guidance and design authority to delivery teams

  • Act as a senior IAM subject matter expert and advisor to leadership and stakeholders

  • Collaborate across Security, Infrastructure, and Business teams to support enterprise initiatives

  • KPI: Ensure high availability, compliance, and security posture of IAM systems

What you’ll bring to the role:

Essential Requirements:

  • University degree in computer science, engineering, IT, or related field

  • 4+ years of experience as IAM / Identity Governance Solution Architect

  • Strong background in security architecture and governance design

  • Experience designing IAM solutions in complex enterprise environments

  • Hands-on experience with IAM capabilities such as MFA, SSO, identity lifecycle, federation, PAM

  • Strong stakeholder management skills across technical and business domains

  • Ability to translate regulatory requirements into scalable IAM designs

  • Experience working in global and cross-functional environments

  • Essential skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with architectural mindset

  • Languages: Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable Requirements:

  • Knowledge of standards such as ISO 27001, CIS Controls, NIST, Cyber Essentials

  • Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or relevant vendor certifications
