Job Description

We are seeking a Business/System Analyst to bridge business needs and technology solutions by gathering requirements, analysing business processes, and supporting the delivery of system enhancements and projects. You will work closely with business users, development teams, and vendors throughout the project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and solution design to testing, implementation, and post-delivery support. This role also involves project coordination, vendor management, and continuous process improvement to ensure high-quality system delivery.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements through stakeholder engagement and process analysis.
• Conduct feasibility studies and impact assessments for business and system changes.
• Prepare functional specifications and user requirement documents for application development.
• Configure products and system settings based on approved business requirements.
• Develop test plans, execute system testing, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure successful implementation.
• Investigate production issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Coordinate with vendors, developers, and business stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects and enhancements.
• Plan, monitor, and manage project timelines, deliverables, and implementation schedules.
• Produce issue analysis reports and support data extraction activities for troubleshooting and analysis.
• Apply business domain knowledge to support system enhancements and operational improvements.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes through automation, analytics, and emerging technologies.
• Leverage AI-powered tools and automation technologies to improve productivity, system performance, and decision-making.
• Escalate project risks, issues, and blockers where appropriate while maintaining effective stakeholder communication.

R equirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, functional specification writing, and SDLC methodologies.
• Hands-on experience supporting system implementation, configuration, testing, and UAT.
• Experience managing vendors and coordinating cross-functional project delivery.
• Knowledge of data migration activities, including data mapping, reconciliation, and data cleansing, is an advantage.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, automation technologies, analytics tools, and AI-powered productivity tools (e.g. ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Well-organised with excellent time management and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese (spoken and/or written) is an advantage.
