Job Description

We are seeking a Business/System Analyst to join the Information Management Department. In this role, you will bridge business users, technical teams, and vendors to deliver high-quality system enhancements and projects. You will be responsible for requirements gathering, business process analysis, solution design, system configuration, testing, project coordination, and vendor management to ensure successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis & Requirements

• Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements.
• Conduct requirement workshops with business stakeholders and perform feasibility studies.
• Model business processes and prepare Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and Functional Specifications (FS).
• Assess system impacts resulting from business or regulatory changes.
• Act as the primary liaison between business users, solution teams, and external vendors.

Solution Design & System Configuration

• Configure products and system settings based on approved business requirements.
• Support solution design discussions and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Review functional designs and recommend improvements where appropriate.

Testing & Implementation

• Develop test strategies, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Perform functional, system integration, and regression testing.
• Coordinate and manage User Acceptance Testing (UAT), ensuring timely issue resolution.
• Support production deployment and post-implementation activities.

Project & Vendor Management

• Manage assigned projects and enhancement initiatives from planning through implementation.
• Track project timelines, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal technical teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
• Escalate project risks and issues when necessary.

Production Support & Continuous Improvement

• Investigate user-reported issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Coordinate data extraction and analysis to identify system issues.
• Prepare issue analysis reports and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Identify opportunities to improve business processes and system efficiency.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and share knowledge with the team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst, System Analyst, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and system implementation methodologies.
• Experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, documentation, and functional specification writing.
• Experience coordinating testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production rollout.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with business users, technical teams, and vendors.
• Good project coordination, organization, and time management skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within the insurance or financial services industry.
• Domain knowledge in one or more of the following:

1. Insurance Products
2. Policy Administration
3. Claims
4. Finance
5. Data Migration
6. Business Processing

• Experience with data migration projects, including:

1. Data mapping
2. Data cleansing
3. Data reconciliation

• Familiarity with AI-assisted productivity tools such as ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or workflow automation platforms.
• Understanding of AI/ML concepts, analytics, or automation technologies is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate in Chinese (Mandarin) is preferred to support collaboration with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
