Job Description

At ENGIE, we believe the energy transition starts with people who dare to lead change. Our Global Business Services (GBS) center in Romania is growing, and we need someone ready to shape how we work from the ground up.

As our I2P Team Lead, you will drive the transition of Invoice-to-Pay operations into GBS Romania and then lead the team delivering these critical finance services. This is a role where you build something meaningful — from process design to people development — while contributing to a global mission that matters.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the transition of I2P activities into GBS Romania, managing stakeholder communications, SOP preparation, and knowledge transfer planning across international teams.
  • Prepare and harmonize Standard Operating Procedures in collaboration with sending organizations, the GPO team, and Internal Control.
  • Design and deliver training programs, performance test scenarios, and post-go-live stabilization support.
  • Assume full operational leadership post-transition: own team KPIs, SLAs, and end-to-end I2P service delivery for designated Group entities.
  • Coach, develop, and manage a team of finance professionals, handling workload allocation, escalations, and business continuity planning.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, segregation of duties, and process governance standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement through standardization, automation, and harmonization initiatives across I2P processes.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of end-to-end Invoice-to-Pay or Accounts Payable experience, ideally within a shared service center or BPO environment.
  • Proven track record in transitions or migrations, including SOP documentation and issue-log management.
  • People-management or team-coordination experience with a coaching mindset.
  • Strong knowledge of operational controls, approval workflows, and audit requirements.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; Power Query or Power BI knowledge is a plus.
  • Fluent in English and French (written and oral); another European language is an advantage.
  • Resilience under pressure, sound judgment, and the ability to lead change with clarity and confidence.

Location

Romania — Hybrid working model. Ad-hoc travel may be required during the transition phase (approximately the first six months).

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary package aligned with your experience and expertise.
  • A diverse and stimulating role that evolves from project-driven transition work to ongoing operational leadership.
  • Real career development opportunities within a growing GBS organization and a global energy leader.
  • A friendly, collaborative work environment where international teamwork is the norm.
  • Flexibility and work-life balance through our hybrid working model.
  • The chance to shape processes and build a team from the ground up — your impact will be visible and lasting.

Only candidates selected for interviews will be contacted.
