Clean Harbors is searching for a reliable and safely oriented I&E Technician with an excellent mechanical aptitude with great trouble shooting skills to join our El Dorado, AR team!

The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible forperforming hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and troubleshooting PLC’s along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed.

Union Wage: $36.50

• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
• Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
• Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
• Variable Frequency Drive troubleshooting and installation
• Maintains accurate records and logs as required
• Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
• Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
• Services and replaces motors and lighting
• Performs general electrical maintenance
• Other duties as assigned

What does it take to work for Synergy, a Clean Harbors Company?

• HS Diploma or Equivalent
• 3+ years combined of plant experience and related education preferred
• Instrument and/or electrical training, degree, or certification preferred
• Proficiency in blueprint reading of electronic schematics
• Proficiency in process and instrumentation diagrams (PID)
• VFD troubleshooting and installation experience a plus!
• Three phase 480v
• Must be able to pass a paper test
