What are we about?

Are you ready to support Operational Excellence through Hygiene to help us deliver our goal of world-class standards? Our Hygiene Operators are responsible for ensuring our factory is maintained to a high standard. The shift for this role is Friday to Sunday 06:00 to 18:00 and Monday 06:00 to 14:00 with flexibility to accommodate production downtime.

What's the role about?

The role of Hygiene Operative involves working closely with the Hygiene and Manufacturing teams to ensure our site has the highest standards of hygiene, housekeeping and other manufacturing practices (GMP). Working collaboratively with the team to adhere to and improve Health and Safety procedures is also key. Day to day responsibilities include working with production to promote a safe and clean working environment, maintaining wastes areas and ensuring the correct waste streams are used as well as escalating issues to the Hygiene Technician where necessary. Some tasks will also include a more in-depth cleaning regime including handling some chemicals and also stripping and rebuilding of equipment. You will also be required to contribute to the site Continuous Improvement program.

 Demonstrate a consistent and high performance in Health and Safety and Food Safety procedures.
 Has an understanding of GMP requirements and demonstrates an ability to consistently adhere to these.
 Has an understanding of Hygiene within a food production environment and how it impacts on the finished product.
 Has had exposure or experience to Hygiene functions previously to ensure an understanding of purpose.
 Be confident and competent in accurately in operating machinery and completing paperwork.
 Demonstrates a willingness to Raise the Bar, by seeking opportunities for improvement of our processes.
 Have good communication skills and the ability work collaboratively with the Team, the Team Leader and key Stakeholders.
