Responsibilities include: Perform and/or review hydrological assessments for mining infrastructure, including mine sites, haul roads, access roads, camps, stockpiles, processing facilities, and other supporting infrastructure.Conduct catchment analysis to identify contributing catchment areas, drainage paths, flow characteristics, and potential areas of flooding or water accumulation.Assess rainwater runoff from natural and developed catchments and determine peak flow rates, runoff volumes, and appropriate design criteria.Undertake rainfall analysis, including selection of appropriate design rainfall intensity, duration and frequency (IDF) and relevant return periods.Develop and review hydrological models and calculations for stormwater, surface water drainage, flood management, culverts, channels, diversion drains, detention ponds, and other water management facilities.Review and assess drainage strategies to manage runoff from mining areas and surrounding catchments, minimizing the risk of flooding, erosion, sedimentation, and damage to infrastructure.Provide technical input into the sizing and design review of culverts, open channels, drains, diversion structures, retention/detention ponds, spillways, and stormwater management systems.Review engineering deliverables, calculations, drawings, specifications, reports, and technical submissions prepared by EPC contractors, design consultants, and other project parties.Provide hydrology input to the design of roads, bridges, culverts, crossings, earthworks, and other mining infrastructure.Review the impact of changes in land use, topography, mine development, and infrastructure layout on catchment characteristics and rainwater runoff.Identify potential hydrological risks and recommend mitigation measures during design, construction, and operation.Coordinate with Civil, Geotechnical, Environmental, Water Resources, Mining, and Infrastructure Engineers to develop integrated water management solutions.Support PMC technical reviews, design coordination meetings, constructability reviews, and technical queries related to hydrology and drainage.Review contractor methodologies and proposals related to stormwater management, drainage, flood protection, and erosion control.Ensure hydrological designs comply with applicable Indonesian regulations, project standards, international standards, and client requirements.Provide technical support during construction and respond to site-related hydrology and drainage issues as required.Able to investigate & propose muddy river water issue from runoff

RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.Typically 8–12+ years of relevant experience in hydrology, water resources, drainage, or civil infrastructure engineering.Previous experience in mining, mining infrastructure, heavy industry, or large infrastructure projects is highly preferred.Experience working on PMC, EPCM, EPC, or Owner’s Engineer projects is preferred.Strong experience in catchment assessment, rainfall analysis, stormwater management, and rainwater runoff calculations.Proven experience in hydrological and hydraulic analysis for culverts, channels, drainage systems, flood management, and water diversion structures.Experience with hydrological/hydraulic modelling software such as HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, MIKE, or equivalent is preferred.Good understanding of rainfall-runoff modelling, peak flow estimation, flood frequency analysis, IDF curves, catchment delineation, and flood risk assessment.Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcGIS or QGIS for catchment delineation and spatial analysis is advantageous.Understanding of erosion, sedimentation, and stormwater management associated with mining and large-scale earthworks.Ability to review engineering calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports.Strong coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, consultants, EPC contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.Good command of written and spoken English.Moving forward togetherWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
