Manage the accounting and financial reporting lifecycle of commercial arrangements with customers while partnering with cross functional teams in and outside of finance.

This role will report to the Global Hydro Operations Finance Leader.

As the Hydro Operations Finance Frame Agreements Leader, you will

Essential Responsibilities

• Organizational Design & Strategy:Partner with leadership to design and implement a future-ready Project Accounting structure for the Hydro business, translating high-level strategy into actionable programs.
• Controllership Excellence:Lead and develop a world-class accounting team, driving compliance with GAAP, statutory regulations, and global finance policies while fostering a culture of excellence.
• End-to-End Project Accounting:Oversee all financial cycles, including project setup, revenue recognition, actuals booking, and reconciliations to ensure financial integrity.
• Reporting & Financial Quality:Manage legal entity financial quality and regulatory documentation, serving as the primary point of contact for audits and communicating balance sheet positions to senior management.
• Operational Optimization:Partner with functional, cost, and fulfillment teams on margin reviews and pacing processes to optimize contract performance and deliver accurate financial baselines.
• Process Transformation:Champion a LEAN culture to streamline and automate processes, aligning departmental operations with broader finance strategies and the Power Operations model.
• Talent Development:Identify, recruit, and mentor high-performing talent, ensuring the team possesses the necessary expertise to manage daily operations and large-scale transformations.
• Vendor Management:Maintain strong partnerships with third-party vendors, ensuring accountability and high-quality execution for outsourced finance services.

Required Qualifications:

• Hydro accounting work experience either as a Controller, Risk Finance Leader or PFM/OTR Finance Manager
• Team Management/leadership experience
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college
• Eexperience in finance or operations function in progressively larger positions of responsibility
• Finance leadership experience

Desired Qualifications:

• CSA, Projects & Upgrades accounting experience
• Certified Public Accountant/Chartered Accountant preferred
• Direct or indirect leadership of global teams
• Strategic thinker with the ability to create and execute concrete action plans
• Demonstrated adaptability/flexibility: open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or ability to operate in ambiguous situations
• Ability to partner with horizontal teams like Pole/ITR Finances, Fulfillment, Operations
