Job Title: Hydraulic Technician – Offshore

Rotational (e.g., 41 days on/21 days off)

Chief Mechanic / Maintenance Supervisor
Key Responsibilities
1. Hydraulic System Maintenance
·
Troubleshoot,
repair, and maintain
critical
hydraulic systems:
o
Jacking systems
(rack & pinion, hydraulic elevators)
o
BOP controls
(blowout preventer hydraulic units)
o
Crane & winch hydraulics
o
Power pack units
and
accumulator systems
2. Inspection & Testing
·
Conduct
pressure tests
and
leak
detection
on hydraulic circuits
·
Perform
fluid analysis
and
filter
replacement
·
Calibrate
pressure relief valves
and
control
systems
3. Emergency Response
·
Rapidly diagnose and resolve
hydraulic
failures
(e.g., jacking system leaks)
·
Support
well control emergencies
involving
BOP hydraulics
4. Safety & Compliance
·
Follow
Qatar Energy (QP) safety
standards
for high-pressure systems
·
Maintain
hose management program
(inspection/replacement
schedule)
Qualifications & Certifications
Mandatory:
·
3+ years
hydraulic experience (offshore/oil & gas preferred)
·
BOSIET/FOET with HUET
(Offshore Survival & Helicopter
Escape)
·
Qatar Ministry of Public Health Medical
Certificate
Preferred:
·
Certification in Hydraulic Systems
(e.g., Bosch Rexroth, Parker Hannifin)
·
Experience with PLC-controlled hydraulic
systems
·
Overtime pay
(No overtime required – Strictly 12 hour shift)
