What will you do?
As an Intermediate or Senior Hydraulic Engineer in Aurecon’s Global Design Centre Manila, you will contribute to the design, and delivery of hydraulic and water infrastructure projects across New Zealand.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams locally and offshore, you will apply sound engineering judgement, Aurecon’s values, and New Zealand design standards to deliver practical, sustainable, and client-focused solutions. This role supports Aurecon’s commitment to bringing ideas to life, creating positive outcomes for communities, and fostering an inclusive, high-performing global workforce.
As a Hydraulic Modeller, the scope of work and role will be as follows:
Build and calibrate hydraulic models for water and wastewater networks
Analyse transmission systems – rising mains, gravity mains, pump stations, and storage
Deliver modelling and design solutions for transmission pipelines, pump stations and utility networks
Integrate model outputs into concept and detailed design deliverables
Prepare technical reports and modelling summaries for a non-technical audience
Collaborate across disciplines to deliver constructible, sustainable solutions

What can you bring to the team?
Firstly, you will share our genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and be someone that actively pursues continuous learning to help shape the future. You will also need the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering (or equivalent)
4-6 years’ experience in hydraulic modelling and network design for water or wastewater utility projects across planning and design phases
Strong understanding of water networks, pipelines (pressurized and gravity systems), pump stations and system operations
Experience with InfoWorks ICM WS Pro, DHI MIKE URBAN software
Experience with Civil 3D, ArcGIS/QGIS, and model calibration
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable to have familiarity with New Zealand water utility standards for modelling and design (Watercare or equivalent)
