HYBRID Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner 

Schedule: Part-time 24 hours per week; 2 days in-person; 1 virtual

Sensible Care is now hiring a Part-Time (hybrid) Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to treat patients in Palm Desert, California!  

This opportunity is Part-Time; 24 hours per week with potential to increase in the future!

You Offer: 

• PMHNP ANCC board certification 
• An active CA PMHNP License 
• Valid DEA registration 
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills 
• Experience performing relevant duties in an outpatient setting preferred
• Proficiency with computers and Electronic Medical Records (EMR's) 
• Timeliness, detail oriented, and the ability to work well in a team setting 

Primary Duties: 

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations in-person and via telemed
• Treat patients 2 days per week in our Palm Desert, CA clinic; 1 virtual day
• Treat mental health disorders with medication and psychotherapy 
• Coordinate patient care with ancillary providers 
• Work with support staff to authorize prescription refills and medication changes 
• Address urgent patient issues that arise outside of patient visits
• Supervise Spravato treatments and be prepared to assist in the management of adverse effects. Maintain an active DEA registration, with the Palm Desert clinic appropriately associated with the provider’s DEA registration as required for the provision of Spravato treatment at the practice location.
• Potential future opportunity to become certified in treatment of obesity within our metabolic psychiatry program
