DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Hybrid Engineer, located in São Paulo, Brazil

This role provideshands‑on technical field supportfor DePuy Synthes’ commercial operations, combiningon‑site field servicewithremote/hybrid technical support The Hybrid Engineer partners closely with customers, sales, and internal teams to install, commission, troubleshoot, andoptimizemedical equipment and solutions. This position plays a critical role incustomer satisfaction, patient safety, and business growthby ensuring reliable performance and compliance of field‑deployed systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providetechnical advice and hands‑on supportto customers, includinginstallation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshootingof products and equipment in the field.

  • Supportcommercial activitiesby partnering with sales teams to address technical questions, demonstrations, and customer requirements.

  • Execute assigned tasks forField Service Engineering projects and initiativesthat support business growth and customer needs.

  • Applyproject management protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements during all field service activities.

  • Troubleshoot technical issues, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and escalate complex problems to ensuretimelyresolution.

  • Preparefield service reports, service documentation, and technical instructions following customer visits or remote support sessions.

  • Support the evaluation ofproduct upgrades or improvementsto meet evolving customer and market needs.

  • ApplyJohnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperativesin allcustomerand team interactions.

Qualifications

Education

  • Required:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering(Biomedical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline).

  • Preferred:Advanced technical training or coursework related to medical devices or field service engineering.

Experience and Skills

Required:

  • 0-2years of relevant work experiencein field service engineering, technical support, ora relatedengineering role.

  • Hands‑on experience withinstallation, testing, and troubleshootingof technical equipment.

  • Ability to workindependently in the fieldwith limited supervision while meeting performance targets.

  • Strongproblem‑solving and analytical skillsto address technical issues effectively.

  • Clearwritten and verbal communication skillsfor customer interaction and technical documentation.

Preferred:

  • Experience supportingcommercial or customer‑facing engineering activities

  • Familiarity withmedical devices, healthcare environments, or regulated industries

  • Experience collaborating withsales or customer service teamsin a technical capacity.

  • Knowledge ofsafety, quality, and regulatory standardsapplicable to field‑based engineering work.

Other

  • Languages:Portuguese (fluent); English (workingproficiency).

  • Travel:Up to50% domestic travelwithin Brazil, with occasional regional travel as needed.

  • Certifications:Technical or safety certifications relevant to field service engineering (preferred).

  • Driver’s License:Valid driver’s licenserequiredfor customer site visits.
