About Us

Kniesel’s Collision is a family-owned and operated collision repair company with 13 locations across El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, and Yolo counties. We take pride in quality repairs and exceptional customer service, and in a supportive workplace where every team member’s contribution matters.

The Role

Help keep our Auburn shop moving! You’ll get repaired vehicles looking their best for customers, keep parts organized so our technicians have what they need, and keep our lot safe and orderly. If you like hands-on work, take pride in doing things right, and are happy to jump in wherever you’re needed, we’d like to meet you.

What You’ll Do

  • Detail vehicles for delivery: Wash, vacuum, and clean interiors, exteriors, and glass; remove repair dust, debris, and protective coverings.
  • Final check before delivery: Do a last walk-around and report any damage, missed debris, or other concerns to the right team member before the customer arrives.
  • Receive and organize parts: Check deliveries against packing slips, report missing, incorrect, or damaged items, and label and store parts by repair order.
  • Support technicians: Stage parts for upcoming repairs, track parts movement, and prepare returns, handling every part carefully to prevent damage or loss.
  • Move vehicles and maintain the lot: Safely move and park customer and company vehicles, and keep parking areas, drive lanes, and work areas clean and clear.
  • Help around the shop: Keep detailing supplies and equipment stocked and in good shape, follow safety procedures, report hazards, and assist technicians, estimators, and management as needed.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

  • Valid driver’s license and a driving record that meets our insurance requirements
  • Dependable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a positive, team-first attitude
  • Close attention to detail and the ability to follow directions and stay organized
  • Flexibility to shift priorities and work independently or as part of a team

Nice to have: Experience in automotive detailing, parts, lot porter, or dealership/shop work.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift, with or without reasonable accommodation. Work takes place in a collision repair shop and outdoors on the lot, with exposure to weather, shop noise, and cleaning products.
