Job Description

HWRC Team Leader - Chigwell

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees the day-to-day operation of the site

• Always ensure a safe working environment

• Ensure the site is complaint in line with EA regs

• Site walk rounds at regular intervals, instructing staff on site of any issues that need attention

• Supporting weighbridge and meet & greet with issues that may arise during waste acceptance process

• Supporting site-based staff with operational issues including covering breaks if required

• Ensure all defects to mobile plant and the site are reported in a timely manner

• Check & fill out core list check books - fire log - Environmental log - team leader checks- ladder inspection – Legionella Checks, daily checks on remaining site books IE Mobile plant, weighbridge books to ensure they are filled out correctly Plus weekly sign off’s

• Concern reporting, monthly SHEQ tours are carried out

• SOP and risk assessment inductions, toolbox talks and other comms to site team

• Maintain good waste levels, raise any issues on daily 0845 stock update call

• Share best practices

• Suggest any new imitative ideas to improve recycling or site operation

• Ensure adequate staff coverage every week,

• Laisse with training Coordinator to arrange staff training courses

• Inform site manager up to date with any operational issue
