NIE invites applications for the Hwa Chong International School (HCIS) – Tooh Fee San Distinguished Professorship in Education and Artificial Intelligence The distinguished professorship will champion transformative research transformative research and innovation at the intersection of artificial intelligence (AI) and education.
The HCIS – Tooh Fee San Distinguished Professor in Education and Artificial Intelligence will
Lead cutting-edge interdisciplinary research in AI and education
Drive innovation in the design, implementation, and evaluation of AI-enabled pedagogies, curricula, and assessment
Translate research into real-world educational impact, including collaboration with schools as testbeds for innovation
Foster international collaborations with leading academics, industry partners, and educational institutions
Contribute to strengthening Singapore’s position as a global hub for AI-enabled education
Provide intellectual leadership through teaching, mentorship, and capacity building within NIE and NTU
Requirements
The ideal candidate should:
Be an internationally recognised scholar with a distinguished track record of research and leadership in AI and education or related fields
Demonstrate outstanding scholarly achievements, including high-impact publications and sustained research funding
Exhibit strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation
Have a proven record of academic leadership, mentorship, and global engagement
Show the ability to translate research into practice and policy impact in education
