HVACR I25000273This position performs minor to complex maintenance and corrective service as needed to support ongoing facility operations that are initiated through work requests or as dispatched by the control room, call center, or a member of management in accordance with Hospital standards. This position is responsible for maintaining routine and complex preventative and corrective maintenance on heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment and mechanical and plumbing equipment in accordance with manufacturers' specifications. This position will assist the HV ACR II, III and controls technician to resolve all issues with the HVACR systems. Responds to all requests in order of priority and assists both with routine-to-complex request on an as needed basis. Ensures smooth transition of responsibilities to next shift. Responds to all hospital emergencies including but not limited to leaks, odors, fire alarms, etc. Reports all concerns to the designated lead HVACR, facility specialist, or manager. This position may be subject to various hours or shifts. Must have valid driver 's license and ability to drive hospital vehicles.The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands or fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and or arms and to talk and hear. The employee is required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. The employee must lift and or move up to 50 lbs.
Minimum Education
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
3 years Related general HVAC maintenance; Working knowledge of all applicable EP A & OSHA standards related to the position (Required)
2 years Hospital HVAC experience (Preferred)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Expertise in the area of specialty.
Math Ability: basic algebra.
Frequent bend/stoop, sit, stand/walk and reach8-12 hrs. Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull >40<75 pounds. PC operating systems and mobile work entry devices. Proficient knowledge of Intranet, some Microsoft Offices Suites (Word, Excel). Familiarity with automated work order systems. Customer Service Skills, calculator and copy machine.
