Nebraska Wesleyan University has an opening for a full-time, HVAC Technician for the Heating Plant. The essential duties include preventive maintenance on HVAC Equipment, trouble shoot and repair HVAC equipment and associated equipment, operate Johnson Controls HVAC software, maintaining accurate logs and records for work time and materials, perform chemical testing on the feed water for boilers and water treatment systems, repair steam line and condensate lines, and other duties as assigned.
Shift Work:
During the non-heating season, most general maintenance duties are performed during the day shift 6:00 am – 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday. During the heating season, shifts may be adjusted to monitor and operate boilers and heating equipment. There is an on-call system in place. The maintenance team members take turns being on call.
