Role Summary:

The HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and servicing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems within the property. This role ensures that HVAC systems are functioning efficiently, safely, and in accordance with industry standards. The HVAC Technician will be involved in troubleshooting system issues, performing routine maintenance, and assisting with major repairs to ensure optimal comfort and air quality within the property.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning, ventilation, heating, and cooling equipment.
2. Attend HVAC complaints independently, diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, and control-related faults, and carry out timely repairs.
3. Perform preventive maintenance, compressor replacements, copper pipe brazing, refrigerant charging, leak testing, control wiring, and interpret control schematics.
4. Service HVAC equipment, including AHUs, FCUs, split ACs, and other cooling systems, to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
5. Maintain accurate service and maintenance records, recommend system improvements where required, and collaborate with the maintenance team to resolve HVAC-related issues.
6. Comply with all Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies, safety regulations, and promptly report hazards or incidents.

Experience and Competencies:

1. Minimum 2–3 years of experience in HVAC installation, maintenance, and repair.
2. In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, including components such as compressors, heat exchangers, ductwork, thermostats, and refrigerants.
3. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as gauges, multimeters, and leak detectors to troubleshoot HVAC systems.
4. Ability to read and interpret HVAC blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
5. Experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining both residential and commercial HVAC systems.
6. Strong understanding of HVAC controls, electronic systems, and energy-efficient technologies.
7. Certification in HVAC Technology or a related field from a recognized institution.
