About the Company


Our client is a well-established international
commercial Real Estate and Building Service Provider. With a major location
based in Toronto and a continuing growing client base, they need a talented HVAC
technician to add to an already impressive team.


Responsibilities


  • Performance of ongoing preventive
    maintenance and repair response work orders on facility HVAC, mechanical,
    electrical, and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.

  • Maintain, operate, and repair all HVAC
    systems and associated equipment, some electrical, plumbing systems,
    building interior/exterior repair, and related grounds as it pertains to
    assigned buildings.

  • Perform assigned facility inspections
    and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting
    satisfactory client occupancy and operations.

  • Respond quickly and effectively to all
    emergencies.

  • Prepare and submit to the management
    summary reports listing conditions found in the performance of assigned
    work and recommend and/or suggest action to be taken.

  • Study and become familiar with the
    various items of equipment, and the methods required to use them properly,
    that are required in everyday activities. This includes HVAC, Electrical,
    Building Automation Systems, fire / life safety systems, and any other
    building related equipment.

  • Have a strong Customer Satisfaction
    mindset. Drive a culture and result of cultivating, creating and
    maintaining an “Excellent Customer Experience.”

  • Have a strong Health and Safety mindset.
    Comply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and
    safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards, report on them
    and propose methods to eliminate, mitigate and control them.

  • Ensure compliance with National,
    Municipal, Provincial, City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.

  • Must be willing and able to support any
    after-hours building related activity as required.

  • Attend periodic training as required to
    support the business.

  • Other assigned operational tasks may be
    typically expected of the Mobile HVAC Technician role.

Skills


  • High School
    diploma or a GED equivalent qualification from a certified college.

  • HVAC Certificate of Qualification is required.
    313A license or provincial equivalent.

  • Gas fitter I or II is required or Provincial
    equivalent.

  • Canadian ODP Certification.

  • Must possess and maintain a current valid
    driver’s license.

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of technical
    experience in all aspects of building engineering with a strong background
    in technical aspects of packaged and built-up HVAC systems, plumbing
    electrical equipment repair and maintenance and overall building system
    design and application.

  • Must meet security clearance requirements.

  • Candidate will be provided with tools required
    to perform assigned work scope.

  • On call duties and overtime as required.


Benefits


Compensation

Paid hourly with a guaranteed 40-hour work
week. $50 to $55 per hour.
