Job Description

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and install sheet metal ductwork systems for HVAC projects, ensuring quality and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, layouts, and SMACNA standards for proper duct installation.
  • Collaborate with technicians, installers, project managers, and contractors to meet project goals.
  • Support both new construction and retrofit projects.
  • Work independently while maintaining communication with the superintendent, builder, and management.
  • Identify and resolve potential issues proactively to keep projects on schedule.
  • Help coordinate project scheduling and assign appropriate technician and installer support.
  • Attend project and team meetings as required.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in sheet metal installation for HVAC systems.
  • Strong understanding of ductwork systems and layout.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent attendance and communication skills.
  • Critical thinking and leadership ability.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Knowledge of IECC energy codes and practices
  • Familiarity with SMACNA standards and industry best practices.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Employment/education will be verified.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • This position requires a valid driver’s license.
  • Eligible to work weekends and nights as needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Able to work in a variety of extreme weather, hot and cold conditions.
  • Able to work safely in confined spaces such as attics, basements, closets, and crawl spaces.
  • Able to work safely at elevated heights such as rooftops, ceilings, and ladders.
  • Able to bend, crawl, stoop, stretch, and reach.
  • Able to walk on uneven surfaces.
  • Able to work off a ladder, sometimes at heights.
  • Able to safely lift 50 pounds.
