HVAC Service Technician

Description

Southern Air Mechanical is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain residential heating and cooling systems across the DFW-south corridor. You'll run your own truck, own the customer relationship from the driveway to the handshake, and deliver a 5-star experience on every call — backed by a company that supplies the trucks, the tools, and the training to keep you sharp.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential HVAC systems, including furnaces, air handlers, condensers, heat pumps, and related controls
• Perform preventative maintenance and system tune-ups to manufacturer and code standards
• Clearly explain findings, options, and pricing to homeowners and present repair or replacement recommendations
• Identify and communicate replacement opportunities to the Comfort Advisor team
• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked service vehicle
• Accurately complete all required job documentation and invoicing in the field
• Participate in the on-call rotation as scheduled

Requirements

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC service and diagnostic experience
• EPA 608 certification required
• TDLR ACR Technician Registration required, or the ability to obtain
• Strong diagnostic ability and comfort running calls independently
• Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, and tight areas in varying temperatures, and lift 50 lbs or more
• Strong communication skills and a customer-first approach
• Valid driver's license and insurable driving record
• Must be 18 years of age or older to apply
