Job description

SPIE Global Services Energy is looking to strengthen its workforce in Nigeria by
recruiting experienced HVAC Senior Technician to join our offshore operations team.

Key Responsibility:

Maintenance & Repair

  • Service and repair HVAC for control rooms, switchgear rooms etc.
  • Maintain positive pressure systems in control rooms to prevent hydrocarbon gas ingress per IECEx/ATEX standards
  • Overhaul chillers, packaged units, AHUs, and VRF systems in corrosive saltwater environment
  • Standby during drilling and production operations.

Installation & Commissioning

  • Install new HVAC systems and oversee piping, ductwork, and electrical connections
  • Commission systems and conduct performance testing before handover to operations
  • Read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings, P&IDs, and HVAC schematics

HSE & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with NUPRC safety standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and company HSE policies
  • Complete PTW, JSA, and LOTO before working on energized equipment


Profile

  • Experience on offshore oil and gas producing facility, preferable FPSO.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in the field of repair of HVAC & Refrigeration systems.
  • Must hold recognized OND or equivalents or have completed a recognized trade apprenticeship or verified technician training scheme with a minimum of working experience.
  • Must be able to work effectively as part of a team.
