HVAC Retro Lead will report to the Retro Field Supervisor, also will assist in the installation of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems in residential and Apt. buildings. Installations will be up to code and Villara’s exceptional quality standards.

Technical Responsibilities of the Job
• Install vents, duct work (flex), plenum and registers in residential and apartment houses or buildings using hand and power tools according to code and established company procedures.
• Measure and cut sheet metal by using hand and power tools.
• Move materials from delivery area to installation area.
• Set and place forced air and A/C units.
• Assembles bags of pre-assembled air handling systems by taping, caulking and/or Panduit strapping at common attachment points according to plans.
• Clean up all debris on the job site and sweep up sawdust.
• Exercise caution when operating or using tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Meets all labor budgets and initiates daily plans to keep within budget parameters.
• Submits to Warehouse, requisitions for materials; schedules material deliveries to various job sites.
• Updates and maintains accurate material requisition lists recording dates and delivery locations.
• Manages all paperwork for “extras” ordered and assures accuracy; keeps records on all extras ordered and shipped and submits to appropriate interested company personnel for billing.
• Initiates weekly “Quality/Control” checks on jobs underway in his/her area.
• Updates and maintains accurate material lists on all active jobs.
• Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and Management.
• Initiates “hands-on” training with all new employees.
• Initiates safety training and keeps field staff current on all safety issues.

Training/Certification
• 5+ years of HVAC Retro Lead experience
• EPA Refrigerant Certification (Universal or Type II) (preferred)
• Valid CA Driver’s License and Insurable DMV Record
• Ability to read blueprints and charts and designs

Education
• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Working conditions and management style:
• Subject to adverse weather conditions – extreme heat and cold
• Job sites can be loud and dusty
• Able to use basic hand tools and power tools.
• Must be able to travel from job site to job site
• Must be able to transport tools and a ladder to multiple job sites
• Must be able to ascend ladders to heights of eight feet or higher, and descend ladders, scaffolding, stairs and inclined surfaces.
• Able to work in high areas including rafters and roofs.
• Able to exert physical strength necessary to move objects weighing eighty plus ponds from one level to another.
