Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician Apprentice at our location in Dieppe NB. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining, upgrade, troubleshooting, and repair various HVAC/R equipment and systems.

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking an HVAC/R Service Technician Apprentice at our location in Dieppe NB. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining, upgrade, troubleshooting, and repair various HVAC/R equipment and systems.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC/R equipment in accordance with manufacturer and company specifications.
• Complete digital work orders, detailed reports and daily digital time summaries.
• Ensure safe working conditions are adhered to in accordance to company policy.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• College diploma in a refrigeration or gas technician program
• 1st
  block apprentice exam minimum or equivalent

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Security Clearance, as well as other site specific clearances.
• Experience using mobile technologies would be an asset.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read or learn to read and work from HVAC, mechanical schematics, electrical schematics, line drawings, etc.
• Mechanical ability and problem solving skills.
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment and the ability to meet deadlines.
• This position is mainly from Dieppe but regional travel is expected.
