Job Location: Bridgewater College - Bridgewater, VA 22812HVAC MECHANIC
Bridgewater College is seeking a skilled HVAC Mechanic to help keep our campus running comfortably and efficiently year-round. In this hands-on role, you’ll maintain, repair, and improve HVAC systems and related infrastructure across campus.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Install, maintain, service, and repair HVAC systems and campus steam distribution equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance to keep systems running reliably
- Troubleshoot and repair faulty or inoperative equipment
- Recommend repairs, upgrades, or new installations
- Maintain and service hydraulic, air, gas, water, and steam lines
- Track and manage parts and equipment inventory
- Complete work orders accurately and on time
- Collaborate with Facilities team members, including electrical support as needed
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with snow removal and emergency response, including nonstandard hours when needed
- Support campus and athletic event setup and breakdown
- Follow all safety standards and regulatory requirements

WHAT YOU BRING:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of hands-on HVAC experience
- CFC certification (required)
- Working knowledge of HVAC materials, tools, and systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently
- Ability to work on ladders and lifts
