Day ShiftSt. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health is looking for a (full-time) HVAC Maintenance Mechanic to join our team!

Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic

Job Type: Full Time 40 hours per week

Shift: Day Shift

Location: St. Mary Medical Center

Purpose

  • The Maintenance Mechanic maintains the readiness of all hospital centers, equipment, and supplies.

  • Coordinate work with various vendors and contractors to assist in maintaining standards and achieving goals.

As a Maintenance Mechanic you Will:

1. Install and maintains sinks and toilets

2. Install equipment used in the operation of HVAC system

3. Install heating, refrigeration and lighting controls

4. Assist electrician with installation of new service or projects

5. Assist carpenters with installation of such items as doors, windows and locks

6. Replace defective floor tiles

7. Repair machinery and equipment to keep in good running order

8. Repair fixed equipment major movable equipment and minor equipment i

chairs treatment tables side rail lighting signs patient call lights

9. Complete daily logs and requisitions

10. Complete preventive maintenance forms and a timely manner

11. Able to locate and demonstrate appropriate use of safety equipment

12. Assist in snow and ice removal

13. Demonstrate knowledge of incoming location of incoming services

14. Other duties as assigned by manager

Minimum Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalency (required)

  • Vocational training (preferred)

  • Valid Driver's license and clean driving record required

  • 5 years of commercial HVAC experience required

  • CFC license desired

  • Previous experience in a hospital or commercial setting preferred

  • Ability to work independently and flexible to handle any assignment within the scope of your experience and background.
