The Role

As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and commissioning of HVAC systems across retail, commercial, and pharmaceutical environments. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality installations while ensuring compliance with industry standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations.

What You Will Do

  • Install and commission split and multi‑type air-conditioning systems

  • Carry out installation work including pipework, bracketry, cabling, and associated mechanical and electrical works

  • Complete and maintain accurate site surveys, commissioning reports, and installation records

  • Support the quotation process by identifying remedial, replacement, or upgrade opportunities

  • Liaise effectively with clients, site contacts, and other contractors on-site

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard

  • Take responsibility for the development and progression of apprentices or junior technicians under your supervision

What We Look For

  • Relevant City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent certifications

  • Proven experience in the full installation of HVAC systems

  • Strong experience with DX systems, split and VRF/VRV systems, air handling units (AHUs), and ventilation plant

  • Experience in commissioning HVAC equipment

  • Ability to interpret technical documentation including electrical and fluid schematics, piping diagrams, and psychrometric diagrams

  • Strong written and verbal technical communication skills

  • A proactive, can‑do attitude with strong problem-solving skills

  • Good IT and computer skills

  • Full, clean Irish driving licence
