What You Will Do

**Local travel to designated worksites is required.

As a Controls Systems Engineer II, you will design, configure, and operate complete building control systems, including fire, security, and other low-voltage control sub-systems, ensuring they meet project requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Own outcomes with accountability, safety, and integrity, ensuring quality and timely project delivery.
  • Design and configure complex building control systems, creating flow diagrams, sequences of operation, bills of material, network layouts, and electrical schematics.
  • Develop and test software programs necessary for system operations.
  • Focus on what matters by staying close to the work, creating and coordinating necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
  • Select, order, and track delivery of materials for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate factory-mounting processes to meet project schedules.
  • Assist in system commissioning and validate complete system functionality.
  • Troubleshoot issues with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation.
  • Improve every day through continuous improvement and problem-solving, providing field change information for as-built documentation.
  • Win as one team by embracing collaboration, participating in release meetings and performing site-specific training for operators.

What We Are Looking For

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years of related experience.
  • Knowledge of the construction or HVAC industry.
  • Understanding of control theory, building automation systems, and subsystems.
  • Experience with JCI software programming and industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet).
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly with drafting tools.
  • Strong ability to communicate technical knowledge to non-technical audiences.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000 – 101,000. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
