We are looking for an experienced Building Automation Service Technician to support commercial BAS and HVAC controls systems. This is a hands-on technical position focused on troubleshooting, programming, repairing, and optimizing DDC control systems.

You'll work independently in the field while also partnering with engineering, programming, and project teams on more complex system issues, upgrades, and integration projects.

What You'll Do

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair BAS/BMS and DDC control systems
  • Identify and resolve controller, network, communication, sensor, actuator, and HVAC control issues
  • Perform programming and software modifications as needed
  • Troubleshoot sequences of operation, alarms, trends, graphics, and control logic
  • Support system integrations and communication protocols
  • Perform preventative maintenance and system optimization
  • Assist customers with technical issues and recommend appropriate repairs or upgrades
  • Support controls retrofits, upgrades, and larger project work when needed
  • Work with platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Distech, ABB, and similar systems
  • Document service work and communicate findings clearly with customers and internal teams

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years of experience with building automation, DDC, BMS, or HVAC controls
  • Strong BAS troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Experience programming or modifying DDC control systems
  • Understanding of commercial HVAC equipment and sequences of operation
  • Experience with controls communication and system integration
  • Familiarity with Niagara N4, Honeywell, Johnson Controls, Distech, ABB, or comparable platforms
  • Niagara/N4 certification is a plus
  • PLC or ladder logic experience is beneficial but not required
  • Ability to work independently and communicate directly with customers
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally throughout the area

Compensation & Benefits

  • $35–$50/hour, depending on experience
  • 100% employer-paid medical insurance for employees and their families
