Carrier is actively recruiting for an HVAC Commercial Field Sales Representative to join the team in Ottawa ON. This role is a great fit for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building relationships, and have outstanding customer service. This is the ideal role for those that are results-oriented and are adept at assessing and understanding both the immediate and future needs of customers.

About the role:

As the HVAC Commercial Field Sales Representative, you will be responsible for pursuing opportunities for service agreements, quick turn projects to keep our customers operating effectively and pursuing large opportunities that help our customers modernize their equipment. You will use your networking and strong communications skills along with your drive to succeed to drive sales and support both existing and new customers.

Job responsibilities:

  • Sell the full portfolio of Carrier HVAC Service products and solutions (i.e. service agreements, repairs and modernizations) to existing and new customers

  • Create and maintain Sales Territory and Account plans where necessary

  • Ability to seek out or respond to repair opportunities

  • Present at customer seminars to develop new and existing customer relationships and opportunities

  • Promote Carrier value proposition linking customer objectives to Carrier solutions

  • Utilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities, and opportunity pipeline

  • Experienced seller in attracting new customers as well as building share value with existing customers

  • Establish and build credibility with knowledge of Carrier products/solutions

  • Effective presentation and communication skills

  • Prioritize on best opportunities

  • Operate in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer software

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED

  • 2 or more years of experience selling within the HVAC industry


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
