The HVAC CAD Operator will be responsible for creating and updating detailed CAD drawings related to Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning systems. The role requires close coordination with HVAC engineers and project teams to ensure accurate and compliant designs. Candidates must have strong Gulf experience and specific expertise in HVAC drafting for construction projects.
Prepare, develop, and revise HVAC layouts, sections, schematics, and detailed shop drawings as per project specifications.
Produce ducting layouts, chilled water piping, equipment layouts, grille/diffuser schedules, and mechanical room plans.
Coordinate with MEP engineers and site teams to ensure correct routing and clash-free designs.
Update drawings based on markups, design modifications, and engineering instructions.
Ensure all drawings follow applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.
Assist in the preparation of as-built drawings at project completion.
Maintain proper documentation, drawing registers, and revision history.
Support engineering teams with accurate technical drawings and drawing-related data.
Education: Graduate (Engineering/Technical Diploma preferred).
Experience: 8-12 years of HVAC CAD drafting experience in the Gulf region.
Specialization: Must have solid experience and strong working knowledge in HVAC systems.
Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D essential), with good understanding of MEP coordination.
Knowledge of HVAC equipment, ducting standards, chilled water systems, and mechanical design guidelines.
