HVAC Apprentice I is responsible for assembling sheet metal, setting roof curbs, installing mechanical equipment, as well as other HVAC-related items. Travel as needed is required.
Requirements
Job Responsibilities(List is not inclusive)
· Must demonstrate the willingness to excel and learn commercial HVAC.
· Determine the right tools and equipment necessary to complete the job successfully.
· Must learn industry-relevant building codes and regulations for the installation and maintenance of commercial plumbing systems.
· Measure, cut, and bend mechanical material.
· Must be on the jobsite at the required time.
· Attend all safety meetings.
· Follow the instructions given by on-site leadership.
· Transport and return all materials/equipment the job site requires.
· Cleaning the job site after the work is completed.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Knowledge of HVAC systems and their inner workings.
· Familiarity with all tools and equipment necessary for HVAC installation and maintenance.
· Physical fitness and manual dexterity.
· Ability to follow instructions.
· Good communication and customer service skills.
Education and Experience
· High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
· OSHA 10 Certification required.
· At least 1 plus years of experience.
Physical Requirements
· Required to stand, walk, and sit.
· Talk or hear, both in person and by telephone.
· Use hand (s) and fingers to handle or feel objects or controls.
· Reach with hand (s) and arm (s).
· Regularly required to stoop, kneel, bend, crouch and lift up to 50 pounds.
