About this role

We are seeking an HVAC Application Engineering professional to join the Syracuse, NY team supporting our Dedicated Outdoor Air Units (DOAS) and Applied Rooftop Units (ARTU). As a senior HVAC Application Engineer, you will work closely with the product manager, our sales teams, and a cross-functional product team to provide pre-sales support for our products.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre-sales support for assigned products by answering sales office questions and assisting with equipment selections and specifications.
• Create, maintain, and update technical sales material, including product data, technical manuals, product bulletins, marketing brochures, application guides, technical presentations, and sales presentations.
• Assist with selection of software and pricing systems. Work across multiple disciplines to implement corrections, updates, and new product releases into associated systems.
• Assist Product Managers with planning and implementing product updates and new product releases.
• Work with Product Managers to perform competitive and market analysis, collect sales office and customer feedback for assigned products.
• Perform technical training and sales presentations at sales offices, customer events, industry gatherings, and via webinars and recorded sessions.

Basic Qualifications

• Associate degree
• 1+ years of technical HVAC experience

Preferred Qualifications

Other qualifications you may have that would be beneficial in this role include:

• Bachelors or Bachelors of Science or Masters or Masters of Science degree
• Technical understanding of HVAC systems, including some or all of the following: system design, building and energy codes, system operation, refrigeration systems, fans, electrical and control systems, and psychometrics’
• Well-developed analytical thinking, critical thinking, problem-solving skills. Ability to collect and analyze data, identify trends, develop conclusions, and propose solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, teamwork, responsibility, dependability, leadership, flexibility, motivation, respect, and patience
• Basic competency in business fundamentals, strong math skills
• Solid organizational skills, ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, ability to prioritize and self-direct with multiple activities and projects
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience with SAP or Salesforce preferred
