About This role

This position will be fully onsite, First Shift hours Monday thru Friday, at the following location:

We are currently seeking a HVAC and Controls Specialist with demonstrated experience and strong professional interest in HVAC and Building Automation Control systems. This position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of HVAC and control systems, while ensuring optimal system performance, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will serve as a key technical resource and the primary on-site representative, delivering high-quality service and fostering strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technicians in troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair operations
  • Install, maintain, repair, and replace HVAC and control systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and system diagnostics
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control system issues
  • Maintain and optimize HVAC and controls systems; assist in planning and executing new installations
  • Adjust, calibrate, and maintain electrical and electronic controls, including thermostats; inspect motors and belts; clean system components such as coils
  • Analyze energy usage trends and system performance to identify inefficiencies and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, customers, and the Measurement & Verification team to ensure energy savings targets are achieved
  • Monitor facility changes that may impact energy conservation measures and support baseline adjustments
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Ensure all work complies with company and customer Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards
  • Respond promptly to service calls, including on-site, emergency, and remote support requests
  • Maintain flexibility to respond to emergency calls, when assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizen due to contractual agreements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 10+ years of HVAC/Controls experience
  • 2+ years of Management experience
  • Ability to pass federal/state background checks and drug screening
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Must possess a REAL ID-compliant driver’s license, permit, or ID card
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. frequently and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Must be within commutable distance and able to work fully onsite at;

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems (chillers, pumps, VFDs, VAVs, water chemistry, steam and power systems)
  • Working knowledge of building automation systems and sequences that apply to commercial and industrial HVAC systems.
  • Ability to read service contracts, blueprints, and schematics
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision
  • Associate degree or technical certification in HVAC
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification: HVAC license preferred
  • OSHA 30 (or ability to obtain)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Familiarity with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
